Carftmanship Prize Winner of Tokyo Young Designer’s Grand Prix, 2018

‘This Is Escapism at Its Best’ is a graduation project from Fashion Design BA from Shih-Chien Univeristy. It a genderless collection inspired by richly textured elements material combination of knits, hardwear and plastics in active footwear. 

Knits have been created on Shima Seiki SVR123-SP and MACH123XS industrial knit machines. Weaving structures were combined within, creating slots to hold cord and hardware, giving the surface additional dimensions and functions.
